The W Grad Scheme

Because we want the UK’s brightest young talent and because finding a PR Graduate placement in London can be tough, we’ve just launched our new Garduate (and School Leaver, actually), scheme.

We know that surviving your first month without a pay cheque can be one of the greatest challenges in starting a job in London so we’ve created the ultimate Grad Scheme package.

In addition to an £18k p.a. starting salary, we’ll give our 3 lucky grads a £1k signing bonus STRAIGHT into their bank account in their first week….Pay your rent, join the gym…how you spend this is your choice.
And to help you prepare, we’ll even give you your first day off.
Beyond this, you’ll be able to explore the full breadth of PR in a fast-paced environment with phenomenal clients, inspiring mentors and even better colleagues.
You’ll be shown the full PR ropes, from writing press releases, doing sell-ins and running events to flexing your creative skills, developing digital campaigns and managing social influencers – all with an incredible array of clients.
If you think you’ve got what it takes, send a video telling us why to HR@wcommunications.co.uk
We recently launched our new Graduate (and School Leaver) Scheme in a drive to bring a new wave of creative British talent to the agency.

While mental health has recently witnessed a transformative shift in public discussion, suicide still remained something of a taboo subject. It was not a topic covered in mainstream media or openly talked about in everyday culture.
Yet, every week in the UK 84 men take their own lives and is the biggest killer of men aged under-45.
It’s a shocking statistic but one that’s rarely talked about or addressed by the government. So how do you show the problem in a way that will force people to talk about it? Working with mental health charity CALM, W launched Project 84 with 84 statues on the roofs on ITV London and the This Morning Studios to hammer the message home.
The campaign proved a national debate in media and across social channels which ran. Within a week of the campaign we’d secured over 100 pieces of media coverage, 33,000 Twitter #Project84 mentions, and Jeremy Corbyn raised the matter in PMQ’s, forcing Theresa May to defend government spending on mental health.
Most importantly the campaign saw 200,000 signatures to a CALM-led petition demanding a ministerial mandate to address the issue of suicide being the biggest killer of men aged under-45 in the UK.
